Padre Pio
Saint [Padre] Pio de Pietrelcina (1887-1968),
Capuchin friar
Ep 3, 980 ; GF, 196f.
"You have the words of eternal life"
Be patient and persevere in the practice of meditation.
Be content, to start with, to make progress only by degrees.
Later on you will have legs that will ask for nothing but to run
or, better, wings for flying with.
Be happy to obey.
It's never easy but it is God we have chosen as our portion.
Accept, that as yet, you are only a little bee in its nest, but very quickly,
it will become one of those wonderful workers so skillful in making honey.
Always remain humble before God and men, in love.
Then our Lord will speak to you in truth and enrich you with his gifts.
It can happen that bees will cover great distances over the meadows
before they find the flowers they want.
Afterwards, worn out but satisfied and laden with pollen,
they go back to the hive to carry out the silent but fruitful transformation
of the flowers' nectar into the nectar of life.
You, do likewise: when you have listened to the Word, meditate on it attentively,
study its different aspects, seek out the depths of its meaning.
Then it will become clear and luminous to you; it will have power
to transform your natural inclinations into a pure uplifting of the spirit,
and your heart will be always more closely united to the heart of Christ.

Wisdom 6: 12-16
Resplendent and unfading is Wisdom,
and she is readily perceived by those who love her,
and found by those who seek her.
She hastens to make herself known in anticipation of men’s desire;
he who watches for her at dawn shall not be disappointed,
for he shall find her sitting by his gate.
For, taking thought of her is the perfection of prudence,
and he who for her sake keeps vigil
shall quickly be free from care;
because she makes her own rounds,
seeking those worthy of her,
and graciously appears to them in her ways,
and meets them with all solicitude.

Through the Eye of a Mustered Cede
A Curious View
Poetry is kenned by a unique perspective that sees far beyond surfaces
to the numinous dimension of reality. This is the Way the poet sees.
It is a way of seeing largely, mostly unappreciated in the daze of this age.
The Poetry of Devotion, Liturgy, presents a similar scenario
a sacramental action, requiring a keen far seeing in a certain way
that few people of this day are willing to possess.
Contemplation is key to an authentic kenning of liturgy.
Poetry, looks beyond surfaces and seeks to share what it sees,
has a role to play. We need poets for their own sake
and to paint the way in the great restoration
Of the sacramental sense, to Worship.
How many will to worship the show
Than will to show worship
Who want to live in Ra-Ra land
For the feel good of the senses
Today the sacred is sacrificed to the satyred
Taboo, the victim of yahoo

Limn Light
Liturgy is the Poetry of Devotion
A quill of light to the Bow Bent
A Discernment of the Ray in Bow
The Promise of God
Jesus never spoke in words of Make Believe
Or in shades of gray
He spoke Awe Ways in Color
Of black and white
Through Awe of Scripture
God expresses Himself in the Word
The Word is the Color of Poetry
So thus is best expressed
Poetry sees Awe in the Colors of the “Ray in Bow”
The Light, discerned
Through the tears,
Of the Son
Poetry speaks in Color of black and white
Whilst Polity speaks in shades of gray
The Word of Truth
Though Writ in Black and White
Must be discerned
Through the tears of the Son
To see in Awe
Through the Eyes of Jesus
Than through the Eisegesis
What is Black and White
And Read all over
Shades of Gray
What is Black and White
And Read in Color

SILVERSITTER
A time ago, A Curious Few met to study scripture.
While reading the third chapter of Malachi,
they came upon a remarkable expression in the third verse:
"And He shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver" (Malachi 3:3).
One decided to visit Silversmith, and report to the others
on what he said about the subject.
Accordingly, Curious went and without telling him the reason for the visit,
did beseech Silversmith to tell about the process of refining silver.
After he had fully described it, Curious queried,
"Sir, do you sit while the work of refining is going on?"
"Oh, yes," replied Silversmith; "I must sit and watch the furnace constantly,
for, if the time necessary for refining is exceeded in the slightest degree,
the silver will be injured."
Curious at once saw the beauty and comfort of the expression,
"He shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver."
God sees it necessary to put His children into the furnace;
but His eye is steadily intent on the work of purifying,
His wisdom and love are both engaged in the best manner for us.
Our trials do not come at random, and He will not let us be tested
beyond what we can endure.
Before departing, Curious loft one final query,
"How do you know when the process is complete?"
"That's quite simple," replied Silversmith.
"When I can see My Own Image.
